David Winterburn has over 20 years business experience and has been involved in a number of Non Executive roles during the past 10 years.
Our interview with David - his top advice for start-ups.
David was the Chairman of the Institute of Directors in West Yorkshire between 2004 and 2008 (and now member of the National IoD Council) and also the former Chairman of the REC (Recruitment and Employment Confederation) which represents the £27bn recruitment Industry. David is also the former Chairman of the AER (Association of Executive Recruiters) as well as a Non Executive Director of the RFEA (Regular Forces Employment Agency).
In addition, David was elected last year as the European President for the newly formed ECSSA (European Confederation of Search and Selection Associations) representing 7 Countries as well as acting as an Ambassador for the NCGE (National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship).
In 2005, after gaining over 15 years experience within the professional recruitment industry, David launched Harrison Winterburn Associates Limited. This leading search house is involved in retained executive search and selection for clients across the UK and Europe.
In 2007 he was awarded the outstanding contribution award to the UK recruitment industry and in 2008 become one of the prestigious “42 under 42” award winners as bestowed by the “Business Insider” publication.
Clearly altruistic, David has been contributing to the aforementioned bodies passionately with a view to enhancing their reputation as a whole as well as assisting with their strategic direction.
It is fair to say that David’s true passion is for entrepreneurship and helping small businesses realise their full potential.
As a qualified life coach, business mentor (with over 500 hours gained working with diverse businesses) and a member of the British Psychological Society, David has one simple aim.
