bMedia Third Thursday

The event will be a joint networking event with the Creative Coast Network from Scarborough –The Creative industries network for the North Yorkshire Coast.

They will cover the following:

• How Scarborough went from being down on its luck to being declared the most enterprising place in Europe.
• What they did to impress the competition judges.
• Some of the digital initiatives over the last couple of years such as getting 100MB broadband and the UKs first free wifi harbour and seafront.
• The relationship with the council and how ordinary Joes / businesses get to play a critical role in the future of the town and say how the council's money is spent  - an example being having the idea for a creative industries centre and getting it built within 3 years.

This is one not to be missed so book early to ensure you have a place.

The programme will be in a similar format to previous Third Thursday events with pizza and a range of refreshments on offer with networking throughout the evening.
