Peter Simpson is a marketing and business leader, who currently runs a successful consultancy.
He was one of the team who came together to create First Direct in 1987. The Bank launched as the UK's first telephone bank in October 1989. Peter was Commercial Director for many years and latterly Head of Marketing at HSBC. First Direct and Peter won many awards for products, marketing and customer service, including Direct Brand of the Decade in 2006.
He is an Honorary Lifetime Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing and is a member of its Educational panel. He has spoken and written extensively on marketing and customer service issues.
Peter will give a brief presentation and then pose questions for a round table style discussion.
