Collaboration Across Digital Industries

The Digital Communications KTN is delighted to partner with the Creative Industries KTN for this, the last in a series of joint workshops looking at the £18million call for proposals from the Technology strategy board. We are targeting this event at our community to ensure that the networking sector is geared up to participate in this call to the fullest extent possible.

The Technology Strategy Board recently launched the first round of a competition that has the aim of bringing together industries and communities to develop an internet that has a sustainable economic future and from which all participants will benefit. It intends to invest up to £18m in this competition, and with £10m for the first round.

This round will support innovative collaborations across industries that address at least two of the three challenge areas of people, digital content and services and networks. At least 50% of the budget will be invested in projects that address all three challenges and two types of activity will be funded, namely strategic research and development and ground-breaking trials.

The competition is open to all UK-based companies and research organisations that form business-led consortia consisting of organisations engaged in at least two if not all three challenge areas.
