The Importance of Business Incubation - Integrating Regional and National Policy and Support with High Quality and Added Value
UKBI have managed to secure the services of two of our senior colleagues from New Zealand - Richard White (New Zealand Government) and Steve Hampson (Powerhouse Ventures) to share their experiences.
New Zealand has a very cost-effective and long-term Government policy on (and support process for) business incubation and we will utilise this opportunity to learn from both Richard and Steve's experiences of delivering highly successful business incubation and of their mutual track record in delivery. For this reason we are inviting a discrete group of influential policy makers and business incubation practitioners to take part in this day.
The UK Government says that we need to create an "enterprise-led society"...that as "business is the driver of economic growth and innovation...we need to take urgent action to boost enterprise" and that the UK's economic future will be delivered by high-growth businesses and that they will "make the UK one of the fastest countries in the world to start up a new business". If this is the case, we have an urgent need to learn more from other countries where their national policies on and implementation of business incubation are integrated and effective and this UKBI event will be the perfect environment to achieve this.
