Godloves Women Breakfast Club meeting

May 20th 2009 saw the Breakfast Club being held at Restaurant, Bar and Grill in City Square Another sell-out!  Early arrivals were welcomed with tea and coffee while they mingled with others.  Lots of new faces were to be seen alongside the regulars.  The early part of the morning is a great time to make new business contacts and Godloves staff are always on hand to introduce you to others.  We then sat down to a delicious Full English Breakfast where business cards were passed around the table and each person was given the opportunity to present their business...  Then the best bit:

Howard Marks, author of” Mr. Nice”, our guest speaker, entertained us, and how he did.  His hilarious talk on his life and his application for Drugs Officer with the Government had us in stitches.  There were time for questions and these were equally entertaining!  Howard then signed books that people had brought in.  The good news is that we asked if he will come back and talk to us again in the future……and he will!!

Our next event will be on July 10th 2009 at Brassiere Blanc, Leeds.  The speaker will be Michael Morse, Head of Employment Law at Godloves...  While his talk may not be quite as colourful, I am sure that it will be very informative and enlightening and may help protect us both as employers and employees in the future.
