An Introduction to International Trade

Ever wanted to expand your overseas businesses but didn't know where to start? Then this straight forward seminar is for you. Hosted and run by Virtuoso Legal in Chapel Allerton Leeds, the evening event will give you a few insights into what you need to know, where you can start and who to turn to for help. The cost is only £20 and it is an opportunity to meet like minded business people who want to take advantage of international trade.

Speakers:

John Reed of Export Aid and the Export Network. John has a wealth of expertise in international trade and will speak for 15 minutes on "Practical Examples of Product Sourcing, Matching Buyers and Suppliers and Research Projects.

Colin Russell has extensive expertise in helping service industries in export markets. He now works with UK Trade and Investment will speak on "What UK Trade and Investment can do for me".

Lesley Batchelor is chairman of the Institute of Export, and has worked for several multinational businesses improving their overseas trade. Lesley will speak on "How the Institute of Export can help businesses".

Liz Ward is the Principal of Virtuoso Legal, a law firm which helps clients commercialise their businesses overseas. Liz will give an overview on international business contracts.

The presentations will last around 15 mins each and there will be ample opportunities afterward to ask questions of the panel both in public and in private. Members of the international team from RBS will also be on hand to discuss international payment terms.
