The sessions - Each session will last about 1 hour.

Session 1 - Dealing with suppliers, looking at costings
This session will look at suppliers’ costs up to EXW. We will then examine how it may be possible to reduce these and ensure there are no hidden costs. Different terms of payment will be examined to compare the true price of each and effect on cashflow. Conducted by: Mike Strawson

Session 2 - Moving the goods - minimising freight costs
This session will look at the movement of the goods from EXW to DDP. We will examine the various options, costings and ways of minimising and controlling the whole operation right through to delivery at the importer’s warehouse.

Session 3 - HMRC - minimising costs and improving cash flow
This session will look at how duties and VAT are assessed, charged and paid and ways of reducing or delaying payments, including how to reclaim duties on imported goods which are subsequently re-exported. (Presenter to be confirmed)
