New National Minimum Wage rates come into effect from today

The new increased National Minimum Wage rates come into effect from today. The hourly pay rate for people aged 21 and above has been increased by 13 pence from £5.80 to £5.93. The rate for 18 to 20 year olds has increased by 9 pence from £4.83 to £4.92, and the rate for people aged 16 and 17 year olds has increased by 7 pence, from £3.57 to £3.64.
